The Knights raced against tough competition through the forest trails of Camp Sycamore, at the Hornet Invitational, on 9 Sep 2025. In the boys race, veteran Patrick Seeley tore up the trails, finishing 1st for the Knights in 11:16. Moreover he secured a 3rd place podium finish out of the entire race field. Andrew Thiel, Zach Kerr, Andrew Miller, and Micah Worster ran great in the trails, securing the 2nd - 5th scoring positions for the Knights. Big day for Miller and Worster, as they reached new PRs of 13:25 and 13:39 respectively. The boys collective efforts led to a 4th place team finish, behind West Lafayette, East Tipp and Tecumseh. Score: 135 (3, 22, 34, 36, 40). In the girls race, Katie Brown and Maria Penn ran strong, pushing/pulling with one another in the trails, and led the way for the Knights. Katie and Maria both finished in 14:45. Julia Duso, Naomi Vogel, and Gianna Starr turned in nice performances, securing 3rd - 5th scoring positions for the Knights. Knights collectively scored 7th at the Invitational. Nice running Knights! Racing intensity picks up, as we head to the Rensselaer Invitational this weekend, then back home for the Central Catholic Invitational just a few days later.
