The Knights competed with 13 schools from around the region in the MAV Stampede, at Wea Middle School. Uniquely optimal weather day, with perhaps the coolest racing conditions we've ever experienced here! In the boys race, Pat Seeley led the Knights, tearing up the course and crossing the line 4th of 235 runners, delivering a new PR of 11:00. Veteran Andrew Thiel has been battling illness this past week, yet dug deep and brought home a 12:31 performance, only 24 sec off his PR. Zach Kerr, Micha Worster, Jeremy Sison turned in great performances rounding out the remaining scoring positions for the Knights. The boys collective efforts resulted in the Knights placing 6th of 13 teams. 220 points (4-39-52-60-65). In the girls race, veteran Katie Brown led the Knights across the line, finishing 14:16 and a season PR. Big day for one of our newest Knights, Maria Penn. In her debut race, she turned in a terrific performance, finishing 2nd for the Knights in a time of 14:26. Julia Duso ran strong, finishing 3rd for the Knights, 15:49. Another one of our newest harriers, Naomi Vogel, continues to reach new performance heights, finishing with a new PR of 17:15. Great racing Knights. The Knights get a bit of racing time off, and will be back in action at the Hornet Invitational on 9 Sep.
