The Knights opened the 2025 season at the Fountain Central Grand Prix, in Veedersburg IN. Our harriers competed with 13 schools from around the region. The Knights translated their hard-earned work in summer conditioning into some great individual and team performances. In the boys race, veteran Pat Seeley turned in a powerful season opening run, finishing first for the Knights, 5th place overall (in a field of 143 runners), with a time of 11:02, a new career PR. Andrew Thiel and Zach Kerr finished second and third for the Knights, both with career PR performances of 12:08 and 12:43 respectively. Big day for one of our newest Knights, 8th grader Andrew Miller, who brought home the fourth scoring spot for the Knights and a 13:27 performance. Rounding out the team scoring for the Knights, veteran Beckett White secured the 5th scoring position, and a 13:34 career PR. Micah Worster, a new debuting Knight, ran strong, finished sixth for the Knights and a great 13:49 performance. Jeremy Sison executed nicely, narrowly missing a new PR, finishing in 14:10. The boys' collective efforts resulted in the Knights placing 6th of 13 teams! 167 (5 - 19 - 35 - 52 - 56). In the girls race, veteran Katie Brown led the Knights across the line, finishing 14:26. Julia Duso, second Knight across the line, turned in an excellent performance of 15:45. Big day for two of the Knight's newest runners, Naomi Vogel and Gianna Starr. Both ran an excellent career debut, Vogel turning in a 17:17 performance and Starr finishing in 17:25. Nice running Knights! Great racing Knights. Next up, your JH harriers are heading to Wea Middle School to compete in the MAV Stampede on 30 Aug.
