Lafayette Central Catholic (18-5) won two games on Saturday behind the pitching of Lucas and Jonah Gerkey. Lucas Gerkey struck out seven Logansport Berries in the opener. Logansport (14-10) scored two runs in the top of the seventh but the Knights rallied to score three to walk off the Berries in the bottom half of the seventh 3-2. Hudson Gutwein's double drove in Brennan VanKirk and Kolton Minnich to tie it up in the bottom of the seventh before Gus Sandberg walked it off with a sharp single to right scoring Gutwein. In the second game of the day, Jonah Gerkey allowed just one hit and one run in six innings of work to defeat Greencastle (16-4) by the score of 5-1. Alex Schummer had a pair of hits and drove in two. He also closed the game down with a scoreless seventh on the mound. Jackson Cain's first inning double drove in the Knights' first run in the first inning. Sandberg also drove in a run in the fifth for the Knights.
