Congratulations to our Boys Basketball program for being recognized by two IHSAA basketball referees officiating the same game. The boys lost a tough game to Western High School on January 7th but still showed terrific sportsmanship despite the loss. Official 1 - "I had the privilege of officiating the varsity boys basketball contests at Western versus Lafayette Central Catholic tonight. The players for Lafayette Central Catholic are to be commended for their excellent display of sportsmanship throughout the entire contest. The coaches coached, the players played, and the fans enjoyed a well played contest. Coach Barrett and staff do an excellent job and teaching sportsmanship to their players. It was a fun game for all to see, well done." Official 2 - "Lafayette Central Catholic players and coaches showed exemplary sportsmanship in a loss at Western. It was the best sportsmanship by both teams that I have been a part of this season." Well done Knights!
