Our Central Catholic Girls Basketball Program received their 2nd sportsmanship recognition from an licensed IHSAA official after Saturday's game vs. Rensselaer. It was a hard fought game but the Lady Knights fell to the Bombers 54-39. After the game, the official gave praise to our student-athletes by writing: "I had the privilege of officiating the varsity girls basketball contest tonight at Lafayette Central Catholic versus Rensselaer Central. The Central Catholic girls team needs to be commended for the great display of sportsmanship throughout the contest. This was a fun game to officiate. The girls played hard, the coaches coached, and the fans were treated to an excellent display of sportsmanship. Coach Devault and staff do a great job teaching their girls sportsmanship well done and much appreciate it." At today's practice, to show appreciation and recognition to the Girls Basketball Program, Mr. Bordenet presented IHSAA Sportsmanship pins to each player. Great Job Ladies!
