Lafayette, Ind. - The Central Catholic JV team won their home opener over Covington 49-37 on Friday night. The Knights shared the ball and limited turnovers in the first half. CC had eight assists on nine first half field goals. The second half saw increased pressure from the Trojans, forcing the Knights to turn the ball over. However, the Knights were able to hold off the rally and hold on for the victory. Jackson Newkirk led the way for CC with 13 points. Kolton Minnich added nine for the Knights.
