The Central Catholic 8th Grade Boys Basketball A team fell to Southwestern 40-53 Monday night. After a rough first quarter saw the Knights fall to an 18-6 deficit, they were able to battle back and make it a 4 point game at half, but that was as close as they would get. The Knights were led in scoring by Landon Brand with 16, Alex Gonzalez with 13 and Dru Stapleton with 8. The B team had a come from behind victory, winning 36-35. The Knights dug themselves an 18-9 halftime deficit, but showed better effort in the 2nd half to bring home the win. The Knights were led in scoring by Isaac Yamamoto with 13 and Owen Clute and Tyler Reisman with 5 each.
