JHFB Finishes Season on a High Note

Last Thursday, October 17th the 7th and 8th traveled to Rensselaer for their final games of the season. The 7th grade fell 42-14 and finished the season with a 3-5 record. Jackson DeBruyne threw two touchdown passes to Robbie Cramsey, one for 18 yards and one for 5 yards. Isaac Tyrie scored on a 2 point pass from Jackson. The 8th grade won in a shootout with the Bombers. The Knights struck early with a 35 yard TD run from Tyler Schmidt, Dru Stapleton threw a pass to Parker Campbell for the 2 point conversion. Dru added to the scoring with a 10 yard scamper and then hit Prince Baptiste for a 2 point pass. Sawyer Shidler recovered a fumbled kick off by the Bombers which lead to a 42 yard TD pass from Dru to Lukas Gutwein. Lukas added an interception which the Knights turned into a score by Parker's 4 yard run, and Dru connected with Prince again for 2 points making the final score 30-24. The Knights finished the season with a 5-3 record improving from their previous 1 win season as 7th graders.
