For the 1st time in Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School history, the Boys Tennis Team won an IHSAA Sectional Championship. The #1 doubles team of Trevor Powers and Alex Schummer took care of business winning 6-0, 6-2. The #3 singles Jonah Gerkey won 6-1, 6-3. Then our third and deciding point came at 2 singles, Evan McLaughlin, played such a smart match winning 6-1, 6-0 sealing the championship and earning Student-Athlete of the Week! Prior to this win, Evan lost 2-6, 2-6 to the same opponent, McCutcheon's #2 Singles (Grigsby) last week. In this match, Evan sought revenge winning 6-1, 6-0! Congrats to Evan and our Boys Tennis Team!
