The 8th grade triumphed in a physical contest with Western on Wednesday. Western ran back the opening kickoff, CC answered with a 25 yard TD pass from Dru Stapleton to Parker Campbell making the score 6-6. Western scored again, then Dru added another TD with a 20 yard pass to Colton Guyer. The Panthers pulled ahead again 20-12. Knights answered with a 5 yard TD run by Tyler Schmidt. After a fumble recovery, Tyler put the Knights ahead for good with a 26 yard TD run 24-20. CC took a safety at the end of the game while running out the clock the final score was 24-22 for the 8th grade victory. Isaac Yamamoto and Dru Stapleton both intercepted the Panthers QB. The Knights next play on Thursday, October 3rd against Wainwright, this is their last home game as 8th graders. The final 2 games will be on the road.
