Your Knights raced well on their home turf, at the 2024 Central Catholic Invitational. Our harriers competed with 18 schools from across the region, on a hot afternoon. Continued hard work and perseverance continues to pay off, as the Knights demonstrated continuing great performances. In the girls race, Katie Rotar and Katie Brown led the Knights across the line, in 14:20, 14:21. New career PR for Rotar! Big day on home turf for the number 3 Knight, Julia Duso. She ran a terrific race and posted a new career PR of 14:39, nearly a minute improvement. Sophia Telenko and Jazlyn Robledo ran well and rounded out the scoring for the Knights. In the boys race, Connor Brand and Patrick Seeley turned in strong performances. The first two Knights across the line finished in 11:41 and 11:43 respectively and finished 23rd and 25th in a race field of 286 runners. Another breakthrough for the third Knight across the line, Alex Gonzalez. He executed a great run and posted a new career PR of 12:05. Nice efforts by Andrew Thiel and Jayden Silva-Amaro, 4th and 5th scorers for the Knights. Jayden posted a new season PR of 13:00. Personal best performances just continued throughout this exciting race. Zach Kerr and Luke Friel turned in new best performances, Zach a new career 13:31, Luke a new season 13:57. Beckett White and Jeremy Sison raised the bar yet again with 14:55 and 14:59 career best performances respectively. The boys collective efforts resulted in narrowly missing a 5th place finish, taking 6th place of 16 teams, with 171 points (20 22 30 49 50). This team's drive and determination continues to be unwavering. We're excited to see what they do next, as we move into the back half of our season. Next, the Knights are headed to the Greater Lafayette Jr HS City/County XC meet.
