It was a great day for the Lady Knights Volleyball team as we competed in Rossville at the Hornet Invite. We opened the day with a match with the Clinton Central Bulldogs. We started off fast with aggressive serving and very efficient front row play. We won the match in straight sets 2-0(25-14,25-12). We then turned right around had to battle Mississinewa, this was a hard fought match and we showed great resilience winning 2-0(25-18,25-22). This put us into the championship pool. We found ourselves taking on the unbeaten Faith Christian Eagles, the Eagles have yet to drop a set all season heading into this match up. We came out with laser focus and a fire we hadn't played with all season and dominated this match from the jump. With aggressive serving and a defense that was relentless we won 2-0(25-13,25-8), this pushed us to the championship match with the host school Rossville. Again we came out focused and we were up to the task and took down the Hornets 2-0(25-11,25-19)! After finishing the week 6-0 we are looking forward to a day of recovery and game planning as we look to next week. We will play host to Crawfordsville on Monday evening, the JV will begin at 6:00pm with the Varsity to follow. On Wednesday we travel down south to take on Gueirn Catholic and then finish the week off by hosting Hoosier Conference foe Rensselaer Thursday evening. Go Knights!!
