The Knights opened the season against the Carroll Cougars. Carroll had a mixed 7th and 8th team, our 8th grade played the majority of the game winning 26-0, we were able to work in some 7th graders in the 4th quarter and they played an extra quarter against Carroll's mixed team. Parker Campbell started off the scoring for the Knights with a 10 yard TD run in the first quarter, Tyler Schmidt added another score with a 20 yard scamper in the 2nd. Dru Stapleton hit Colton Guyer with a 30 yard TD pass to end the half. Tyler added another score in the 3rd quarter with a 17 yard run, John Parlon tacked on 2 points with his conversion run. The 7th grade stopped Carroll on their first possession, then marched down the field to the 11 yard line before the extra quarter ended. The Knights next play at Twin Lakes on Thursday, August 29th. 7th grade will play first, followed by the 8th.
