The Central Catholic Knights defended their title as Twin Lakes Invitational Tourney Champs to by beating TL 3-2 and Rossville 3-2! We were on our way to a victory against North Judson when the heavy rains came. In our first match, 1 singles Lucas Gerkey played well to win 7-5,6-2. Alex Schummer at 3 singles started strong winning 6-0, 6-4. Our 1 doubles of Jonah Gerkey and Trevor Powers won 6-2, 6-1. David Heath and Harrison Adler fought hard at 2 doubles but lost in a third set tie breaker 8-10. In our second match of the day vs Rossville, Evan McLaughlin played very well to win 6-3, 6-3. Three singles, Alex Schummer, came from behind a set to win 10-8 in a third set tie breaker! One doubles, Jonah Gerkey and Trevor Powers rallied to win 5-7, 6-0, 1-0 winning the tie breaker 10-7! The Knights have their home opener this Wed, August 21st, at 5:30pm vs Southmont....come out and support our team.
