Lafayette Central Catholic (25-6) scored early and often in a 22-1 victory over Frontier in the Regional Championship. The Knights put the game away with an 11 run third inning. LCC pounded out 17 hits in all. Hudson Gutwein was 3-4 with three RBI and scored three times. Gavin Boutelle, Lucas Gerkey and Gus Sandberg each had a pair of hits for the Knights while Mikey Stapleton had four RBI including a bases clearing triple in the third inning. The Knights advance to play Union City (16-6) next Saturday in the semi-state at a location to be determined.
