Our runners took on tough competition with our conference competitors, at the 2026 WCJC Meet at Benton Central, on 26 September. As we reach the peak of our season, our runners continue to reach new heights! In the girls race, Cate Thiel led the way with a 5th place overall finish, in 12:53. Amelia Vogel, Lydia Worster, Gianna Starr, and Julia Duso pushed the pace and rounded out the scoring for the Knights. Big day for Vogel and Starr, as they reach new PRs of 14:03 and 16:00 respectively. Ella Dwyer continues to climb the performance ladder, bringing home another new PR, of 16:51! Collectively, the team placed 5th with a score of 113. In the boys race, veteran Andrew Thiel pushed the pace with the fastest in the conference, finishing 5th overall. Thiel had a big personal day, setting a new PR of 10:51. Fellow veteran Micah Worster ran strong, finishing 2nd for the Knights, likewise with a new PR of 12:03. Keegan White, George Thiel, and Beckett White pushed the pace and rounded out the scoring for the Knights. Big day for Lian Gonzalez, as he reached new heights with a PR of 14:50. Collectively, the team placed 3rd with a score of 83. Our runners have delivered an excellent season. We've enjoyed watching them achieve heights that they never thought possible.
