Your JH harriers, ready to take on the CC Invitational!

The Knights competed at home on 17 September, at the Central Catholic Cross Country Invitational. Challenging racing with harriers from 18 other schools from around the region. . . pushing the pace in hottest race of the season. The team responded and ran well! In the girls race, Cate Thiel yet again led the way for the Knights. She finished 8th of 171 runners and took home a new PR of 13:07. Amelia Vogel, Lydia Worster, Gianna Starr, and Julia Duso ran strong on our home turf and rounded out the scoring for the Knights. Sixth grader Ella Dwyer, a rookie no more, came away big on this day, with a new PR of 18:02 on our home turf. Collectively, the Knights placed 6th of 14 scoring teams, score 231. In the boys race, veteran Andrew Thiel hung with the fastest boys in the region, finishing 7th of 296 runners, in a time of 11:15. George Thiel, Keegan White, Harry Sweet, and Micah Worster pushed the pace in the heat and rounded out the scoring for the Knights. Collectively, our boys placed 6th of 17 scoring teams, score 203. This XC crew is heading into the back half of their season, dedicated to pushing themselves to new heights. Next up, your Knights are headed to the Tippecanoe Amphitheater, to compete at the Greater Lafayette City/County meet. "There is a future version of yourself who is proud you didn't give up."
