Knights Fall to Tipton, 28-21 The Lafayette Central Catholic Knights suffered their first setback in Hoosier Conference play Friday night, falling on the road to the Tipton Blue Devils, 28-21. The Knights battled throughout the night but were unable to overcome costly mistakes against a quality Tipton opponent. LCC continued to fight until the final whistle, but in the end, the miscues proved too much to overcome as the Blue Devils earned the conference victory. Dru Stapleton led the Knights offensively, completing 26 of 40 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns. Stapleton threw one interception on the night. Joey Metzger hauled in a team-high 10 receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown. Wyatt Williams provided several big plays in the passing game, finishing with six receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns. Parker Campbell added five catches for 84 yards while also providing several splash plays in the return game. Defensively, senior Ethan Miller led the way with 16 total tackles and one tackle for loss. Charlie Bapst chipped in 12 tackles, including one tackle for loss, while George Seaburg added eight tackles for the Knights. On special teams, Alex Mayorga continued his perfect start to the season, converting all three of his PAT attempts and remaining perfect on extra points this year. The Knights will look to bounce back next Friday when they return home to The Rock to take on the Logansport Berries in Hoosier Conference play. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. AMDG
