The Knights hosted the 16th Annual Knights Legacy Volleyball Tournament over the weekend, welcoming a strong field of teams to McHale and Eberlie Gymnasiums. The tournament featured Class 2A programs Andrean, Linton-Stockton, and Western Boone, along with Class 1A schools Covington, Greenwood Christian, Pioneer, and Indianapolis Lutheran. Competition in both gyms was intense throughout the day, with high-level volleyball on display in every match. The Knights opened pool play with a straight-set victory over Pioneer, 2-0. They then battled Andrean in a thrilling three-set match, ultimately falling 1-2. After a short break, the Knights closed out morning pool play with a strong 2-0 win over Western Boone. That gritty performance earned the Knights first place in their pool and a spot in the championship match against top-10 Indianapolis Lutheran. The championship began with an exciting, back-and-forth first set that went to extra points. Indianapolis Lutheran pulled away in the second set to claim the 2026 Knights Legacy Volleyball Tournament championship. It was a great day of competition for the Knights, with strong contributions throughout the roster. Over the past 16 years, the Knights Legacy Tournament has become one of the premier early-season volleyball events in the state. The Knights are gaining momentum and look poised for another great season. Go Knights!
