Lafayette Central Catholic (24-6) defeated North Montgomery (21-9) Monday night 8-0 to capture the Sectional championship. Gus Sandberg allowed just three hits and struck out three Chargers in 6 1/3 innings. Tatum Adriano struck out the final two batters. Koye Gick scored the first run of the night in the top of the first inning. The Knights added two more runs in the fifth on an RBI triple from Cayden Keller and an LJ Whitford sacrifice fly. The Knights broke it open in the sixth with RBI singles from Alex Schummer, Mikey Stapleton, Kolton Minnich, and Whitford. The Knights advance to the Regional on June 6 vs. Lapel.
