Lafayette Central Catholic (12-2, 7-1) swept Rensselaer in a Hoosier Conference doubleheader Tuesday night at Gordon Leming Field. In game one Vincent Telenko potched all six innings allowing just three hits, walked none and struck out seven Bombers. Cayden Keller was 3-3 with a double and drove in three runs. Mike Stapleton and Colton Guyer each added a pair of hits for the Knights. In game two, five Knight pitchers - Tatum Adriano, Jonah Gerkey, Chase Hittle, Sandberg and Charlie Bapst - each pitched an inning for LCC. Sandberg, Brennan VanKirk and Koye Gick each had a pair of hits. LJ Whitford scored three times for the Knights from the leadoff spot. The Knights return to action Thursday at Harrison.
