Lafayette Jeff (7-6) defeated Lafayette Central Catholic (9-2) by the score of 7-5 Friday night at Loeb Stadium. Koye Gick had a two run double and scored on Brennan VanKirk's RBI single in the second inning to give the Knights a 3-2 lead. That lead was short lived as the Bronchos responded with three more runs in the bottom half of the second inning. Both teams taccked on single runs and the Knights had good scoring opportunities late but Jeff's relief pitchers escaped jams in the sixth and seventh innings.
