Knights Rally To Beat West Lafayette

Lafayette Central Catholic (8-1, 4-1) rallied from an early 5-0 defecit to beat West Lafayette (2-7, 0-3) 8-5 Tuesday night at Bob Friend Field. Tatum Adriano pitched six strong innings in relief to pick up his first win of the season. Brennan VanKirk had three hits and drove in three and scored a pair of runs to lead the Knights offense. With two outs and the game tied at five in the sixth, VanKirk stole second to set up LJ Whitford's go ahead RBI single to center. The Knights scored twice more in the seventh with RBIs from Chase Hittle and VanKirk. Isaiah Hopkins also had two doubles for the Knights.
