Gus Sandberg tossed a complete game shutout in Lafayette Central Catholic's (3-1) 1-0 victory over Highland (4-2). Sandberg scattered just three hits and the Knights defense behind him was stellar Saturday afternoon in the Steel Yard in Gary. Brennan VanKirk had two hits for the Knights including a leadoff single in the seventh. VanKirk scored the game's only run on Mikey Stapleton's bases loaded walk-off walk.
