Lafayette Central Catholic shutout Chatard (1-1) 12-0 in five innings Tuesday night in Indianapolis. Jonah Gerkey and Cayden Keller combined to strike out nine Trojans. Chatard 's only hit came in the second on an infield grounder. LJ Whitford and Kolton Minnich had two hits apiece for the Knights. Gus Sandberg's bases clearing triple in the first got the Knights on the board. Isaiah Hopkins two run homer highlighted a seven run third inning. All seven runs scored after the first two batters were retired in the third.
