The Lady Knights journeyed to BC to take on a highly talented Tecumseh team to open WCJC tournament play. The Bronchos juggernaut rattled the Knights into 28 turnovers that led to a 40 to 14 rout of the Knights. The Lady Knights played hard the entire contest. However, the skill level of the Bronchos was too much to overcome. In a Lee Corso moment, when the Knights held a brief 2 to 0 lead , Coach DeBoy contemplated a timeout to take a team photo in front of the scoreboard!! Audrey Weintraut 4 points, Ally Huber and Emma Jungles 3 points led the offense. After the loss, the Knights had to move to the Arena and face WL in the 5th place game. The Knights responded brilliantly dominating the Devils 37 to 7. A wonderful game where all 11 players saw action. The Knights committed a season low 4 turnovers in the victory. It was a huge effort by all 11 players! Hadley Evans led the Knights with 10 points, Audrey Weintraut 9 points, Taylor Riehle 6 points led the offense. However, the biggest cheer of the night was when Victorine Mbuno scored her first basket of the season!! A great way to close the campaign! The Knights close the regular season at 10 and 8.
