The 7th grade Lady Knights traveled to the Twin Lakes Invitational Saturday. In the opening game , the Knights bested Northwestern 27 to 15. All 12 Knights saw action in the contest . the Knights played great team defense for most of the game. Hadley Evans propelled the offense with 11 points and Audrey Weintraut added 10 points. In the championship game the Knights put forth a valiant effort against the tough Twin Lakes squad. A team that pounded the Knights earlier in the campaign was given all they wanted. Trailing 20 to 16 heading to the fourth quarter, the Knights ran out of steam and fell 31 to 19. A hard competitive game throughout the Knights left it all on the floor. Turnovers again plagued the Knights. Hadley Evans and Ally Huber led the offense with 8 points each. The loss dropped the Knights to 9 and 6 on the season. The Knights return home on Monday when they host the Lady Wildcats from Southwestern in A and B contests. Tip time 5:45.
