The 7th grade Lady Knights opened the season with a 37 32 win over the visiting Klondike Nuggets. It was a big night as Coach Martens filled in admirably and picked up her first career head coaching victory! The Knights held on after a 22 9 halftime lead evaporated late. The Knights struggled on the boards allowing too many multiple opportunities for the Nuggets. The offense was led by Hadley Evans 12 points. Ally Huber 8 points, Audrey Weintraut 7 points and Sami Metzger 6 points aided the balanced CC attack. The B game was all Knights as they won 34 to 2. Taylor Riehle led the way with 13 points. Sami Metzger had 7 points in her one quarter of action. Rocio Ortega-Herrera threw in 6 points. The Knights return to action Monday when the tough Rensselaer Lady Bombers fly into Eberle Gym for a 6:30 tip.
