Freshman Knights Throttle Cougars

LAFAYETTE, Ind. - After two cancelled games last week, the freshman Knights came ready to play on Wednesday night, defeating the Carroll Cougars 56-14. The Knights jumped on the Cougars early, winning the first quarter 24-4. Owen Clute knocked down three first-quarter threes and finished the quarter with 15 points. In the second half, the Knights clamped down and held Carroll to 5 points on two made field goals. Clute led the Knights with 19 points. Alex Gonzales added 10, and Landon Brand added nine despite being in foul trouble in the first half. Nine Knights scored in the game. The Knights will be back in action on Thursday as Harrison will come to Eberle Gym for a 6:00 PM tipoff.
