Oxford, Ind. - The Central Catholic Freshman Boys started the season with a statement win against Benton Central on Monday evening. The Knights won the first quarter 17-3 and never looked back in a 47-20 blowout. Landon Brand and Alex Gonzales set the tone on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Brand finished with 15 points, and Gonzales added 12. Their defense helped the Knights force the Bison into 22 turnovers. The win was a total team effort with nine of 12 Knights scoring. Central Catholic will be back in action in one week as they face Lebanon in the home opener on Monday, December 1, at 6:00 PM.
