The Central Catholic Knights 8th grade boy's basketball A team beat Wea Ridge Middle School 39-30. The Knights were led in scoring by Leo Baker with 20 points and Connor Brand with 15. Brand was clutch at the end, going 8-8 from the free throw line. Cruze Guyer and Isaac Tyrie led a much improved rebounding effort from the Knights in the second half, as they rallied from a 5 point halftime deficit to secure the win. The CC B team also defeated Wea Ridge by a score of 22-17. The Knights had a very balanced scoring attack, with 8 of the 10 players scoring, and were led by William Zumdahl with 6. The Knights were much improved on defense, as they held Wea to an opponent season low of 17 points. As usual, AJ Stevens led the Knights in loose ball recoveries and floor burns. The Knights head to Twin Lakes next Monday and are home next Tuesday against Delphi.
