In spite of a solid performance from Tanner Sterrett with 11 points, Lafayette Central Catholic fell to Cathedral Freshman 43-33. Bremer helped Cathedral Freshman take the lead for good with a two-pointer in the third quarter.
Lafayette Central Catholic Knights Freshman put up points early with a 12-point second quarter, eventually claiming a 21-19 lead by halftime. But this wasn’t enough to overcome Cathedral Freshman’s 24 points in the final two quarters of the game.
Sterrett was the leader of Lafayette Central Catholic’s offense with 11 points, including five during the second period.
Sam Seaburg sank two three-pointers and scored six points total. Wade Hardebeck tapped out at double digits, scoring 10 points for Lafayette Central Catholic (2-for-4). Also helping the effort for Lafayette Central Catholic were Kevin Donahoe (3 points) and Jacob Bunton (2 points).
