Lafayette Central Catholic (2-0) defeated Lafayette Jeff Wednesday night 7-4 in the dedication game of the new Loeb Stadium. A crowd of over 1350 on a cold, windy and raw night saw the Knights jump out to a 7-1 lead before the Bronchos scored three times in the bottom of the seventh. Evan Dienhart induced a groundout with the bases loaded to preserve the victory. Ben Mazur pitched the first four innings to earn the victory.
Brinn Robbins’ two run triple in the second got LCC on the board and the Knights never looked back. T.J. Bell also added two hits including a double.
