Coed Junior High Cross Country · JH Cross Country Runs Well at Tecumseh Invitational

The Knights raced well and delivered great performances at the Tecumseh Invitational, on 24 September 2019. Our harriers competed with Battle Ground, East Tipp, Faith, Klondike, Southwestern, Tecumseh, Wainwright, Wea Ridge and West Lafayette.

In the boys race, the Knights posted 4th place of 10 teams. Kipp Pickerill continues to hold his own with the lead runners from around the region. He led the Knights with a 7th place finish, in a race field of over 250 runners. Veterans Andrew Friel and John Rafacz executed well and were the second and third Knights across the line. Josue Zamora, the 4th Knight across the line, ran another explosive race. Fresh off of running a career best race at the Central Catholic Invitational on 9/19, he improved that PR at Tecumseh by 28 seconds, posting a 12:21! Gavin Boutelle rounded out the scoring for the Knights, with an excellent run and a new PR of 12:33. The balance of the Knights turned in excellent performances, to include four new career PRs. Anthony Monrraga 12:45, Angel Gomez 12:59, Anthony Korchnak 13:31 and Aidan Meyer 17:06. Great running by our 15 harriers today!!

In the girls race, the Knights placed 8th of 10 teams. Veteran harriers Emily Milks and Shannon Dineen were the first two Knights across the line, delivering great runs and season PRs of 13:06 and 13:43 respectively! Osiris Macias ran strong, bringing in the 3rd scoring position for the Knights. Likewise, Lia Penn, 4th Knight across the line, pushed the pace and posted a new PR of 14:33! Eleanor Carpenter, 5th Knight across the line, ran great and rounded out the scoring for the Knights.

The Knights continue to deliver their best efforts. Good show!!
