The Knights Boys keglers competed against bowlers from Lafayette Jefferson, McCutcheon, and Harrison high school at the Wabash Valley North individual sectional tournament held at Market Square Lanes last Friday.
Congratulations to Jacob Lewis who advanced to the Regionals after finishing in second place at the sectional tourney. Lewis came out blazing with with ten strikes in his first game. With the whole house watching his 11th shot, he came up heavy to leave the 4-6-7-9-10 split then finish with a 283 game. Lewis then rolled 205 and 184 games to lead the tourney with a 672 series. In the stepladder roll-off championship match Lewis fell to Lucas Cadwallader from Harrison High School by a score of 172 – 184.
Jacob will bowl in the Regional Individual Tournament on Saturday January 19 at Heritage Lanes 1301 Lincoln Rd. Kokomo. The tournament will begin at 9:00 AM.
The other Knights bowling in the individual tournament were Austin Chyall (515), Luke Cooley (514), Ben Sonstein (474), and Daniel Poole (445). With a cut line of 569 the boys fell short of advancing to the regionals.
