Multiple Teams · Knights take down Harrison!

To night the lady knights traveled across the Wabash River to take on county rival Harrison High School.  The environment inside Harrison’s gym was very loud and extremely HOT.  Our girls came ready to battle though and were more than up for the challenge against a very talented and scrappy Raiders team.  We took down Harrison in straight sets 3-0(25-21, 27-25,25-22) to improve to 2-0 on the young season.  This is also two straight victories over 4A programs as well.

Jozee Evans and Allison Tharp once again led in kills with 12 and 11 respectively, Kayla Brady and Maddie McPherson also contributed with 9 and 5 kills of their own. Both Brady and McPherson led the team in blocks setting up great lanes for our defenders to play in. Shannon Scheetz led our defense tonight in digs with 12 and Kacey Brickley was an absolute rock in serve receive tonight with 28 receptions and also passed a .239%(this is out a possible 3.0 as the highest).  Sami Royer dished out 39 assists and had 2 kills of her own on the night.

Unfortunately both our Freshman and Junior Varsity teams fell tonight.  Both teams fought hard but just came up a little short this evening, the Freshman are now 0-2 and the JV even the season out 1-1.

All three teams will be in action this coming Tuesday as we travel up US 52 into Benton County to take on the ever feisty Benton Central Bison.

GO KNIGHTS!!!
