Multiple Teams · Knights fall in the Championship Match

The Lady Knights had a great showing during our home invitational, but fell short in the championship match.  The day started off strong versus an aggressive Morgan Township team, the Knights came away with a two set victory (25-15, 25-18).  A feisty Blackford team was up next for the Knights, but they were up to the challenge and won in another two set victory (25-17, 25-18) to improve to 2-0 on the morning.  Possible sectional opponent Rockville stood in the way of the Knights making the championship match.  We came out very aggressive fro the very beginning knocking the Rocks onto their heels early and often.  The Knights defeated Rockville in two sets (25-14, 25-10) to earn a trip the the championship match.  In the championship match, we faced a veteran Calumet Christian team, who had no problem taking the fight right to us.  We battled back and forth, but could never sustain a lead and ended up losing in two sets (20-25,17-25) finishing in second place.

We are very Proud of our effort on the day, we will take tomorrow off and have a light walk through Monday evening to get ready for two quality matches next week versus Tri-Central and Clinton Prairie. Below are a few stat leaders from the weekend:
