Multiple Teams · Central Catholic vs McCutcheon

The Knights fell last night to a very talented McCutcheon squad (23-25,25-22,18-25,18-25).  This early season match up put 2 of the better teams in the area against each other, we struggled from behind the service line, so that did not leave us in a good situation at times.  There are many positive things to take away from last nights contest and we will be back to work tomorrow to start to clean up a few of our mistakes and get ready for another strong county rival in Harrison.

Our Junior Varsity team also lost a nail biter in three sets (17-25,25-19,13-15).

Our teams showed some real mental toughness tonight, and there are many things to be excited about. The girls will be hard at work tomorrow in practice to go over a couple different situations to have a better idea on what to do next time.

The Freshman team came away from this evening with the lone victory for the Knights(25-17,25-9).  The Knights had a strong service games from Sami Royer with 8 aces and Makenna Meister was right behind her with 6 aces of her own.  This was a great win for our Freshman team on their first night out against an extremely athletic McCutcheon team.

All three teams will be back in action this Thursday vs Harrison, the Freshman and JV will begin at 5:30pm and the Varsity will immediately follow the conclusion of the JV match.
